It was my delight to hear Mr. McFarrin rehearse at the NJPAC in the 1990s I think it was. He came to speak to my Newark Boys Chorus School students during a break. He admonished them to be very careful what they allowed in their minds. Such sage advice!
Unfortunately, though I no longer teach there, I hear they are in danger of closing due to financial constraints. If there is anything you can do to help ensure that does not happen future student generations will be forever indebted.
