Dear Bobby McFerin
I am a high school visual arts teacher in the hood and the mother of a 21 year old whose salvation is music. He struggles with Bi-polar disorder and the course of his life journey is obscured and worrisome. He sings, composes, and plays guitar in his bedroom. I want to introduce him to your spirit. I saw you live in 1993 and had your cassette in college that I wore out.
I could afford the 6 day Circlesong for Ian, but am unsure He could endure. Do you think a one event trial may be better? Can you recommend one of your teachers or even you who could connect with him to spark some confidence and joy? He goes by the handle greyscarf on Sound Cloud - has 3 followers! - and has improved alot since those postings. I, myself also get up bout 6am to be exact, commune with my master.
